Artworks are delicate and frame damage can easily occur if you unpack your artworks incorrectly.
CELEBRATE IMPERFECTIONSEvery artwork is proudly hand framed in Australia using quality timber moldings. However frame imperfections do occur and are not considered flaws.
UNWRAP ON A SOFT SURFACEOnly unpack your art on carpet or on a blanket to avoid scratching or chipping the frame.
TWO PEOPLE ARE BETTER THAN ONEIf your artworks are large, two people are required to unpack the artwork. Please do not use force.
GENTLY REMOVE ART FROM BOXDo not pull the art from the middle of the frame when removing from the box. Otherwise this will cause the frame to warp. Pull your art from the box from the corners only.
UNWRAP SLOWLYIt is important to be very careful when unpacking these pieces. Hold them firmly to ensure that it does not slip and fall.
DON'T LET IT SWEATImmediately remove your art from the bubble wrap to ensure it does not sweat in humid conditions.
FRAME CORNERS ARE FRAGILEDo not pivot the artwork on its corners when removing the cardboard corner.
REMOVE THE STAPLESCarefully remove the staples from the cardboard corners with pliers. Do not forcibly twist the cardboard off as this will damage the frame.
ART NEEDS A STABLE ENVIRONMENTFrequent or large changes in temperature can be damaging to artworks, as can high levels of humidity or damp. This will result in warping of the matt board and is not a fault of the artwork quality.
HANG IT SECURELYPlease use a professional art installer to hang your Designer Boys art. Do not use sticky Velcro picture hooks.
CLEANING YOUR ARTCleaning your art is pretty simple. Microfibre cloths are great at removing dust. Never use chemical cleaning products or water to clean your artworks.
